More About The Organisation
Number 1 is a sumptuous piece of Bath's unmatched architectural heritage. The magnificent and exquisitely restored 18th century house stands on the sweep of the Crescent, Wood's masterpiece of Palladian architecture. Inside history is brought vividly to life in a series of furnished 18th century rooms illustrating fashionable society living.
Children can join Lily the Cat for their tour of the house. Everyone loves Lily so she is not quite so slim as she used to be, but she is still very beautiful….. and she knows all the gossip! She will take you to see how the wealthy dined and where they took their tea. You can peep into the gentleman's study and slip into an exquisitely feminine lady's bedroom. Best of all you can explore the workings of a Georgian kitchen and see what a dog's life was really like in the 18th century.
