More About The Organisation
Whether you are with us as a patient, carer, family member or friend, please be assured that we will give you all the care and support we can. If you have any communication support needs please make these known to a member of staff and we will do our best to meet your requirements.
“Who cares for me while I care for …?” This is a perfectly reasonable question. There are many ways Dorothy House can help you cope with caring for people with life-threatening illness, who are near the end of life. Being diagnosed with such illnesses should not mean that ‘normal’ life grinds to a halt. It does mean patients, their families and carers sometimes need help to deal with the consequences.
All our services are free of charge to those who need them.
Please note that we have trained volunteers working under supervision in our professional teams both at the hospice in Winsley and out in the community.
